What this notice covers
This notice describes information handled by the Nexon work assistant, including the Nexon desktop app, Nexon Browser extension, account portal, and supporting services. Nexon acts on tasks you request in websites, connected services, desktop applications, terminals, and files. The browser extension is a companion to the desktop app, not a standalone assistant.
Information processed
Depending on your task, Nexon processes your instructions, conversation history, relevant page or application content, page addresses and titles, accessibility information, screenshots, form content, files and attachments, information returned by connected services, and the actions and results of the task. This content can include personal, health, financial or payment, authentication, communication, location, browsing-history, user-activity, or other sensitive information when it is present in the material needed for your request.
We also process account and connection information, such as your email address, selected service accounts, saved preferences, device and installation identifiers, and authentication state. Operational records include request identifiers, connection diagnostics, timestamps, errors, usage, and billing information. Payment processing is handled by our payment provider.
How the browser extension works
Nexon Browser connects to the locally installed desktop app through Chrome native messaging. For page-control tasks, it can read page content and accessibility information, capture screenshots, navigate, click, type, and scroll. It shows a Nexon working indicator on pages under this form of control.
For supported signed-in web apps, the extension can open task-owned background tabs and use your existing browser session to retrieve information or perform actions you request. This can involve reading selected page values or local/session-storage values, observing specifically matched request headers and bodies, and making authenticated requests, including file uploads and downloads. These operations use configured site, path, method, and header restrictions. Website sign-in, verification, and access restrictions still apply.
Relevant service origins may be discovered from existing-tab URL metadata. The background-request pathway operates in its own tabs; it does not inspect the page contents of your existing tabs. Separate page-control tasks can access the tabs needed for your request. Registered account-connection flows can also inspect specific provider error pages to explain connection failures.
The extension stores a random instance identifier and connection diagnostic state, and temporarily stores account-connection watch state. Session and request context used for browser operations is also held in local memory. Authentication information needed for an operation may be processed by the extension and the local desktop app; it is not limited to the extension alone. Nexon does not monitor unrelated browsing or sell browsing data.
Where information is processed and shared
Browser and desktop interaction occurs on the execution device used for your task. Relevant task information is passed to the desktop app and may be transmitted to Nexon services and contracted AI providers, including OpenAI and Anthropic, to interpret your request and produce results. Infrastructure providers support authentication, hosting, database storage, and private attachment storage. Information is also sent to the websites or connected services involved in the actions you request.
Nexon is not a local-only product. Account services store and synchronize conversations, task activity and results, attachments, preferences, connection records, and device/session information so you can access your work across Nexon clients. Local copies and caches may also remain on the execution device. Model API response-storage settings do not delete Nexon account history or eliminate a provider's separate security and operational retention.
We use this information to provide the work-assistant functionality you request, maintain and secure it, diagnose failures, measure reliability and usage, and administer your account and billing. Transfers of extension-derived user data are limited as described in the Limited Use section below.
Storage, security, and retention
Nexon uses authenticated service connections and account-scoped access controls. The desktop app uses macOS-backed encryption for its saved Nexon authentication session and locally managed integration credentials. Other connection types may use service-managed credential storage or your browser's existing signed-in session. Do not include unnecessary secrets or sensitive information in your instructions or attachments.
Temporary browser sessions, captured request context, and file-transfer state are cleared through task cleanup or expiry. That temporary state is separate from saved account history, attachments, local files, and operational or billing records. We retain saved information as needed to provide the service and meet applicable security, accounting, and legal obligations. Removing or archiving a conversation from a view is not a promise that every associated record or backup is immediately erased.
Your choices and deletion requests
You can stop a task, change or disconnect service connections, change your selected Chrome profile, revoke browser or macOS permissions, and uninstall the extension or desktop app. Use Nexon Settings to manage available permissions and saved preferences. You can also revoke a connected service's authorization through that service.
Stopping a task or uninstalling software does not automatically delete saved cloud history, local files, or information already sent to another service. To request access, correction, or deletion of account data and attachments, contact Nexon using the link below. We may need to verify your identity. Information retained to meet legal, security, or accounting requirements may be handled separately from ordinary task history.
Limited Use
Nexon's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. These restrictions also govern user data obtained through Nexon Browser, including automatically gathered content and data derived from it.
We limit use to providing or improving the extension's disclosed, user-facing work-assistant purpose and its related operational needs. We do not sell this information, use or transfer it for personalized advertising, provide it to data brokers or information resellers, or use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
We transfer this information only as necessary to provide or improve that purpose, comply with applicable law, protect against fraud, abuse, or other security threats, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale after obtaining your explicit prior consent. Humans may access it only with your explicit consent to read specific data, when necessary for security or compliance with law, or in aggregated and anonymized form for internal operations consistent with applicable requirements.
Updates and contact
We update this notice when our practices change and identify the update date above. Material changes to extension data practices will be disclosed through the applicable product notices and consent flows.
